Spartans, Dubois run past Rushville for 44-34 win



Senior backfield ace Dalton Dubois rushed for 335 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Connersville Spartans to a 44-34 win over host Rushville Friday in non-conference play. 

The Spartans improve to 3-2, Rushville drops to 0-5. 

CHS nearly hit the 500-yard rushing mark, finishing with 469. 

Senior Donovan Foreman ran for 93 yards, scoring two TDs, and Skylar Hentz, also a senior, picked up 31 yards and scored one TD. 

The Lions led by as many as 10 (13-3, Dubois kicked a first-quarter field goal) — and held a 20-17 advantage at halftime. 

Head coach Adam Kelley’s squad scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win. 

Junior Cameron Craig rushed for 195 yards and scored 3 TDs for the Lions. Craig also caught three passes for 45 yards. 

Gage Rosenfeld and Jordon Davis each caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Mason Springman (8-of-16, 130 yards). 

CHS will go for it’s third straight win when it hosts Indianapolis Broad Ripple Friday at CHS Field (7 p.m.). The Rockets are 0-5. 

It is Connersville’s annual Homecoming game.
