Enrollment totals of the IHSAA’s member schools, which will be used in the upcoming reclassification and realignment process, were announced Monday by the organization.

According to the IHSAA, the updated numbers will be used to reclassify several sports, including boys and girls basketball, football, baseball, boys and girls soccer, volleyball and softball for the next two years.

Classifications will be established and published — along with sectional assignments for each school — within the next two weeks, according to a news release by the IHSAA.

“The assignment of schools to each sectional in each team sport will take place in April by committee with the help of school administrators from around the state with their final recommendations being presented to the IHSAA Executive Committee for approval on May 1, 2017,” the release said.
