The Indiana Pacers literally will help tip off the 2016 NBA playoffs today when they tangle with the Toronto Raptors. Game 1 of the best-of-7 series begins at 12:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN.
Indiana finished 45-37, earning the 7th seed in the playoffs. The Raptors won the Atlantic Division, finishing 56-26 and getting the No. 2 seed behind the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Toronto beat the Pacers three out of four times during the season, winning 106-99 on October 28 at Toronto, 101-94 in overtime on March 19 at Indiana and 111-98 on April 8 at Toronto.
Indiana defeated Toronto, 106-90, on Dec. 14 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Game 2 of the series is Monday at Toronto. Tip off is 7 p.m., the game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Indiana and NBA TV.
